26 across Cry audibly, not finishing thick, leafy soup (8)

C*L**L*O

The solution has to be CALLALOO but the wordplay leads to CALLALOU, which not only doesn't exist but the "U" wouldn't fit with an "O" in ISABGOL at 20 down.

4 down Duke outdated as he used to go by every time (4)

N*I* I think the solution is NEIF as in "fist" but can't parse it.

CALLALOU appears in Oxford Dictionary; ISABGUL can also be found in other dictionaries and works better with the wordplay (heave = LUG not LOG).

Thanks, buddy. Bizarrely neither of those alternatives appear in a Google search! What further threw me was that LOG can be used in the sense of "heave" as in lumberjacking.
