Here in Boston Massachusetts, I do the Everyman crossword on Saturday night my time.
Then as a memory test, on Sunday morning, I try to write down every answer to see how many of them I can recall.
I'm happy if I can get 20 or more.
It's interesting how many I just "remember directly", versus others where I have to remember via the clue construction, or maybe by recalling via the anagram process I used to solve.
The last resort is to systematically think through the likely categories that appear in most weeks - e.g. places, historical figures, movies, etc. - to see if this prompts a recall.
Anyway, that's just part of my battle to stem the tide of age, and I was wondering if anyone else does the same thing.
