No need for apology, tango; you voted with over an hour to spare.
Thanks for the 40 entries from 13 setters. 20 clues attracted at least one vote.
1: paul@4, paul@5, mprs@8, mprs@15, paul@16, spike2@27,
dorrien@35
2: spike2@40, spike2@33
4: dorrien@20, tango@30, tyke51@31
5: buddy@6, mattrom@22, faiton@24, jono@29
6: tyke51@12
9: aristophanes@37 (in 3rd place)
Now,
before the last vote aristo@37 and mprs@18 were tied first on 9 with aristo winning the tiebreak, if I have interpreted it correctly. But with a final burst buddy@34 came through to tie first with mprs@18 now both on
10 votes.
The tiebreak: mprs@18 got 5x=1sts and 1 3rd; buddy@34 got 4x=1sts and 1 outright first, so by my reckoning gets the win, but maybe mathprof will come up with a quadratic equation to prove otherwise.
Congratulations, buddy. Was it you who invented this voting system? It has paid off handsomely. Here's your prize:
