philharmonic?
anagram of "choirman". I don't see where the "phil" comes from, unless the compiler is pronouncing it "file"!

I had it as fill as in "line/ fill something with" but agree that it is a bit odd unless someone else has an idea.

Yes, fill is a synonym for line in Chambers, in exactly that sense.

Thank you, hadn't heard of water moccasin or wahoo so was never going to get those, and philharmonic as you say doesn't make sense.

Still got a few gaps.

25d Conversion of two cardinals, habit-clad (5)
t?a?s?t
'Transit' fits but can't see why.

43d Old-fashioned cycle is all that's produced (3-4)
Might be 'out-turn' but that would fit a definition of 'is what's produced' rather than 'is all that's produced.

45a Impulsive Shakespearean spiced up secondary line (7)
Might be 'Hotspur' but I don't understand the parsing.
