One left and for the life of me I can't figure it.

1a ) Article exposes crappy setters like me * N * S * S

I'm guessing 'crappy setter' is a jumble of Anus but I can't make sense of the rest, nor get a word that fit?

I shall have to defer to my betters :)

Article = AN + Exposes = USES

.....although I'm not at all sure about "exposes" = uses - so maybe I've got it wrong.

I haven't bought Viz for years but I still have Issues 38 - 42. I can't see see a crossword though, is this a new thing?

I think that fits, I was looking at if differently to you but I'm going with that as it makes sense and very little else does!!

On the XWord itself, I won it once or twice many , many years ago. I have a proper mug (or two) and one Travel Mug .. .so it's been goin a while but can't say definitively.
