Finished a crossword but the following clues I only managed to get through working out the missing letters so would like the cryptic clues explained if possible. Thanks

1. Bit depressed, its extremely painful (7)
2. Disturbing force not quite holding as much as possible (9)
3. Well-wisher to finish after half a day (6)
4. Mood of someone in front of mirror (10)
5. Scientifically impersonal type of thermometer (8)
6. Old man finished early, about ten, outside (8)

It would speed up the explanations if you give the answers you’ve worked out!

....But 3 is FRI + END!

Hi, so for 1 I got whitlow (double meaning), 2 stressful (kind of get why but not sure if theres some wordplay I'm missing), 3 friend, 4 reflective (cryptic definition?) 5 clinical (calorific thermometer?), 6 exterior (assuming the x comes from ten but not sure about the rest)

1. Whit = a BIT, LOW is depressed
2. STRESS = force, FUL is not quite FULL
3. Explained already
4. You’ve got that already
5. Scientifically impersonal = clinical
6. Not sure

6. EX ('Old') TERRY ('man') missing the Y at the end ('finished early') around ('about') IO ('ten').
