I've just received this reply from Antony at WordWebSoftware in response to my query as to why the IOS app has an appendices section but the android app doesn't.

I'm not exactly sure what the reply means but regardless, here it is.........

"Thanks for the suggestions. I’m not sure if there was a reason connected to availability of embedded PDF viewers on Android, but I haven’t looked at it very recently".

Hi Brendan, I use the iOS app but wasn’t aware of an appendices section, where do you see this? The reply you received seems pretty meaningless it has to be said!

So I'm not alone in thinking the reply is verging on the nonsensical.

Like i said, I don't have the appendices section on my android app but Merenz refers to it in @37 and @49 in the "Listener May Contain Answers 4643" thread.

I think he/she said it's accessed via the Help section.

Via the same ‘help’ menu you can also access the ‘Word Lover’s Miscellany’ which is close but not quite as comprehensive as the ‘Ramble’ and ‘Gallimaufry’ sections in the BRBs themselves (I think)

I know this is an old thread. I'm hoping for some help with Chambers App for iOS. I'm finding that the Dictionary Appendices and The Word Lover's Miscellany won't scroll past the first page. Anyone else had this?

Yes, I see the same problem Loge so it’s not just you. I’ve found that Chambers are quite responsive if you mail them on…. enquiries@chambers.co.uk

Thanks Jono, glad it's not just me. I have emailed Antony at WordWeb and already had a reply - impressive! He says he'll try to find a fix for the next Chambers update. Would that all software companies were as efficient!
