Very nice puzzle, many easy clues, very obscure theme!
Only baffled by parsing of 19d. Very gentle hints only! Don't give away the theme. Later in the day is fine.

19d is a direct reference to a specific work of the theme’s.

Yes I know it's part of a work but it is the clue parsing I don't get.

It doesn't parse as such, does it? Just part of the theme connected to 4D, and with reference to an FZ compilation album, released after his death.

How many theme entries are there? I can count 10 - but there's also 13D with the second part of 2D?

Can anyone help parse 23D please?

23d Slight (cut) - move the first letter
225 have a highlighted grid showing all the themed entries

As an aside, I had the great pleasure of working with Bill Harkleroad (Zoot Horn Rollo) and Mark Boston (Rockette Morton) during the glorious summer of '76 after they'd departed the Magic Band and formed Mallard. Spent a couple of months living in Clearwell Castle above the Wye Valley, where they recorded their second album "In A Different Climate". Also did a few UK concerts.

I see now, the solution 'strictly' is part of two different album titles.
In his secret there puzzles Qaos usually avoids thematic clues, and to clue 'strictly', there were so many better options....
