Well, that was wild. I am not sure what I was expecting but probably not as much vote-splitting as occurred - several people split their vote 6 ways. It does show how hard these competitions are to judge. In order of votes received, here we are, with clue # / setter / votes:
@6 / bbm2 / 9
@5 / jono / 8
@16 / fieryjack / 8
@15 / mattrom / 7
@14 / mattrom / 6
@4 / dorrien / 5
@7 / dorrien / 4
@17 / paul / 4
@26 / paulh / 4
@30 / tyke / 4
@41 / jimmyg / 4
@40 / jimmyg / 3
@18 / mprs / 2
@22 / paul / 2
@31 / tyke / 2
@34 / fieryjack / 2
@36 / mattrom / 2
@38 / dorrien / 2
@3 / mattrom / 1
@10 / paul / 1
@12 / dorrien / 1
@13 / fieryjack / 1
@23 / faiton / 1
@24 / faiton / 1
Congrats to bigbadmarty for the winner:
Captain run out at the Oval, maybe ? (6)
Unfortunately for mattrom her two nearly identical clues at 14 and 15 drew equal support. I thought about treating those as one clue, but on the other hand they were there side by side and people chose to vote for one or the other. As we have recently learned, the will of the people must not be overturned.
Herewith two prizes. This one is a sober discussion of the future of the office, post-pandemic:

Thanks for keeping me entertained this weekend.
