An excellent test from Paul today with some clues worthy of a prize offering. I particularly liked liked 12a and 27a/4a. I had to cheat on 1a though. Can anyone explain the solution (!) and the parsing?

‘Hot dog’ was new to me. I found it in Collins and the ODE but not Chambers curiously
