Norah, the site administrator, has been putting out gentle reminders about not posting duplicate threads on the same puzzle. That's not necessary and it clutters up the front page/first page of the Forum. It's better to just add any additional queries to Times 123 or Guardian ABC, whatever.

The clue is:- Water not hot now? The answer is Wash but I don't see why. Can anyone help please.

Answer. It WAS Hot - not now

Not hot now" = WAS H(ot), water is the definition.
