Cannot parse 27d.

27d Food and drink for one waiting at last (6,3)

Scotch Egg fits all the checkers, but don't see the second part of the clue.

All answers gratefully received.

Hi Graham,

I think it's..

Drink = Scotch + "for one" = Eg + (waitin)G

with the definition just "food".
