ok, i gave in and did it. not my favourite type of puzzle.

one i'm not clear about. i can;t see the thematic in 10a (assuming i've got it right!)

It's letters 2-5, chrise. The wordplay is alternate letters of discs

A great feat for the setter but with the disappointment for the solver that the across clues were turned into a quick crossword.

With the help here I've parsed all but 14d. I assume the definition to be the first three words but if so how does the rest work?
