...well, I think the two examples are famous titles - but one is quite an oldie.

They are all place names, some of them also happen to be the title as well (to be overly pedantic about it).

I thought it was helpful to mention that 4 of them are the titles of works and 2 are not, buddy. I think the puzzle title tells us that 'Fantasyland' covers each of them.

I too had heard of only two of them.

Many thanks syzygy and sunray. Not a theme I'm very familiar with and generally greatly dislike, if truth be told, but at least the placement and orientation meant online searches were relatively quick.

At this point I'm reduced to guessing letters and doing a web search, so somebody please put me out of my misery. I am only missing the square in the third row.
