Hello. I’m just getting into the Everyman habit on a Sunday morning and (hopefully) starting to pick up the codes. But .... can someone please explain the ref. to “in the auditorium” in 19D? The clue still seems to lead to the answer without needing this.

Hi Percy,

"In the auditorium" along with "picked up", "on the radio" etc. are all indicators that it's a homophone type clue. So in this instance the answer and "according to Stuart monarch" (says Anne) are the same.
