tO FINISH THE PUZZLE THERE IS A NEED TO HIGHLIGHT A NAME - i KNOW THE NAME BUT CAN'T FIND IT IN THE GRID. REALLY GRATEFUL FOR ANY POINTERS.

Thanks for this which gives EDDINGTON but I was expecting NEWINGTON - where am i going wrong ?

The E is from Humeri
The D is from Endmen
The Dis from thunderstones

I have found the quote from nEWINGTON WHICH GIVES 1D AND 44A

I enjoyed this puzzle which took me a few days on and off. I didn't know the scientists or the theory but I enjoyed looking them up.

The editor called it brilliant. I wouldn't go that far, but I thought it very good, with lots of nice clues. The right standard for me, as all her puzzles are.
