I'm not able to fully parse the following clue:

Characteristic of one woman ignoring a daughter in a strange way (5)

I have ?D?L? so assume answer has to be ODDLY (in a strange way), but am not seeing it fully.

Odd, characteristic of one (number) and Lady, woman. Ignore A D, a daughter - Odd ly.
