...that Norah has now deleted that spam thread. It was pleasant to share memories of children's programmes of our respective youths!

Picking up where I left off (Captain Pugwash and Magic Roundabout for those that missed it) I have fond memories of coming home from school to be treated to the Clangers

I totally missed The Clangers - I was too old and our daughter was too young (not born yet? can't remember). With her, we enjoyed Bagpuss and Postman Pat.

Sorry, Chris, if I didn’t realise you had all reverted back to childhood, ha, ha.

Ash set up a link for me, I click on BAN IP on a rogue post which simultaneously deletes the whole thread, all posts by the guilty party and bans him as well.

If you want to continue the discussion here, I won’t delete it unless you are selling cannabis, I saw that thread mentioned weed and wondered why he was advertising weedkiller. Malone set me right on that one.

Now go back to your childhood.

No problem at all, Norah - we all expected the thead to vanish, I think!

pre Postgate's Clangers there was his and Firmin's wonderful Noggin the Nog.
Well before Scandinavian drama became so BBC 4. :-)

Yes, I watched Noggin the Nog, and also Ivor the Engine - that also with my daughter, I think. "Shush ti kuff!".

My daughter and I enjoyed Thomas the Tank Engine, in which the narrator, Ringo Starr, completely missed that the repeated words were train noises!

Pogle's Wood for me. My earliest telly memory.
