All answers are of two words – one starting with “M” and one with “P” (in either order).

1. Lest we forget. (4,7)
2. Ruff formally, soon formerly. (6,9)
3. A short totem for the better. (4,6)

3 appears to be pari-mutuel (the 'tote' a system of betting) but with a hyphen it's not strictly 2 words.

1 could be 'pour memoire', written in place of RSVP on invitations which have already been verbally accepted.

Thanks for both those answers. I think despite the hyphen you are correct.

MAS = 'mothers' embcacing S(on) gives MA(S)S + PRODUCTION suggests 'mothers (multiple) son production' = 'triplets'?

I would suggest MISTER PRESIDENT for no 2. To ruff is to Trump in bridge, and “formally, soon formerly” indicates that it’s how you would address him, though not for long
