Ok, times up folks.
I've only just got home and will commence checking all entries as soon as I've eaten. It may get into the wee small hours before the winner is announced if that's ok.
Also, I no longer have a computer set-up at home as my office is now a nursery and my laptop's on the blink so I'll be doing it all on my phone, please bear with me. Take care and see you asap.

Ok folks, wow! I forgot how difficult it was to judge so many excellent entries.
Chris, straight in with a double Def.
Pedagogue' French 'who' and lovely touch with Flight bag.
Tyke first to use the subtraction like many of you.
Jono's use of flight also very clever.
Buddy's clever use of current for 'i' is something I ain't seen for a while.
Dorrien's Aspen's was well researched and like fieryjack, using the musical changes was nice. Also thought the lips that Cupid needs was a very neat twist to the Def.
Peterm never surprises me with his superb use of perfect surface reading with his stage frightened actor helped to take a bow.
Mattrom's hive affair made me smile, another very clever use of words.
Mathprof also finding the who's who of France.
Paul's injection got our hearts racing and again kept giving with his excellent misdirection in Flash fire.
Theo, what can I say, you haven't changed a bit, still entering those impeccably poetic clues that are beautiful to read but just to long to fit in a crossword.
Aristo with an excellent explanation of St Sebastian(which I needed) and lovely Def at 'shaft casing'.
Weapons case was also a good Def from PaulH.

A few that got me scratching my head were
Mattrom's 24 sheets but then went back to the dictionary to find Quite, nice touch.
Marty's pirate, I had to click the link and then smiled at Johnny Kidd's backbone quiver, my dad would have appreciated that one.
Kt17, not sure of your use of 'Bill's' at the start, the clue seems to work without it??
Paul's Flow meter, I need this explaining fully, I'm missing something here.
However, there has to be a winner and I apologise to Paul in advance if his clue outtrumps my final choice.
I've picked it for a few reasons, it's multi devisive, it's got a very clever definition in the way that the surface read works and it's got a clever and fitting subtraction technique (which I've seen him use before).
This week's honours goes to Bigbadmarty for his clue:

The case of Fletcher v R. ; quiet, detailed and complicated (6)

Loved the use of 'R' for King's Council, maybe something you'd see on the daily manifest for the Old Bailey.

Well done Marty.
Your prize is a short clip of Lars Andersen firing an arrow around people to hit a target behind them, very clever and skilled archery.
Only thing is, I can't link it from You Tube on my phone, so I'm hoping you or another will find it and stick the link up.
Cheers everyone, have a lovely week.

Oh no, forgot to mention that Fletcher v R
Reminded me of Porridge.
Norman Stanley Fletcher.
Was that meant to be, Marty?
That was the other reason I picked it, it made me chuckle.
