I'm having trouble parsing the following clue so explanations of how you reached the answer would be appreciated....
State proposal that is acceptable to audience (3) G?A.
Is it GOA? I can't see any connection between the clue and the answer.

Could it be a homophone of "goer" as in something that's "a go"?

Thank you Brendan. I've no idea but I think I'll settle for your parsing.

Thanks Trelos1, I'm sure you're right and that it is the "state" of GOA in India but as for the rest...that's all I can think of:-)

That’s definitely correct, Brendan. A “goer” would be something colloquial for something given the go-ahead, so it’s exactly the homophone you describe

Thanks Quisling, I thought it probably was but I've made such a hash of some recent parsings I thought I'd better and that caveat.
