Erg = a unit of work
Manse = minister's house
R = runs
(Absorbs = the amount of work is inside the manse, misnister's house)

Merganser, saw bill (diving bird).

PS, I think I should have put Sawbill (all one word, together saw bill).

I am sometimes quite sloppy!

You're welcome, Whetstone. Manse is maybe more widely known in Scotland, England has more Vicarages.
