Last one of a humdinger of a puzzle.

Ring within ring, close to anther elsewhere? (7)

C*R*L*A

I can only justify COROLLA but how would that parse?

Ring is COLLAR, so C(O)OLLAR with the close to antheR moved elsewhere is COROLLA. And in a flower the corolla and anther are close together

Thanks, buddy. Apologies for the delay in replying - I was dragged out for walkies!

A rare event, I've completed and parsed every clue except 2d:
Old rag added to waiter's tips (3) D?R
The only word I can find is DOR which could be the tips to "added to waiter", but, if so, how does dor mean old rag. I can only find it as a beetle.

Any help gratefully received.

Chamber gives: dor (obsolete) A scoff, mockery, as in to give (any one) the dor

Thank you, that would make sense.
My Chambers (13th) doesn't have that at all. Just Dor. for Doric, and dor for dung-beetle. Which edition are you looking at?

Ah, I've got the dodgy edition which had a load of words accidentally omitted when Chambers revised the previous edition.
The alternative definition was one of those: https://chambers.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Chambers-Missing-Words-1.pdf

I have the (apparently less dodgy) 12th. When that fails me I find that Collins online usually fills in the gaps:

Yes, I see Collins also has the drug at 4a, unlike Chambers, so I'll bear it in mind. (I confirmed that answer elsewhere on the net, having guessed it from the crossers and fairly straight wordplay.)

Thanks again for your help, Buddy.
