Tyke it seems like we were on the same wavelength there, never noticed you had used "midge". Though my "fly" was for anglers

Thanks to the hardy souls who tackled this weekend's challenge. I had a smile at many of your entries, and I've learnt a new phrase from jimmygtal. Luckily, for me, this finish didn't turn out to be a nail-biter.
With all votes cast, the results are;

1 vote each for dorrien 5 and paul 20
Triple runners-up, with 2 votes, are buddy 8, paul making another appearance with #10, and jimmygtal 29.
This weekend's winner, with 4 votes, is Spike with his amusing 'think outside the box' #30

A quick eater? Not quite, but it's close!

Well done, spike! Here are your prizes

Congrats spike & thanks for the votes chrise and jono as well as the various likes.

Thanks for the hosting marathon mattrom. I'm looking at an Instagram post from a sunny Balmoral Beach with George Michael's "Freedom" playing.

Seriously pleased to have won what was a tough contest. As usual, all rose to the challenge and produced some great clues.

Many thanks to Aristophanes, Buddy, Faiton and Dorrien for their votes, and also to Paul for the mention. All were very welcome.

Thanks ever so much, Mattrom, for hosting, the testing choice and for my great prizes! All appreciated.

Till next week...
