I would appreciate help, please, with 10 across Face palace attendant wasting time, and 24 across Rose may clamber over this river in Brief Lives. I think the answers might be courier (courtier without the t, but why face?) and trellis but can't parse them.

Bassett, the Face is a typeface, font. Drop the T from a word meaning palace attendant.

Sorry, Bassett, I missed half of your post. Courier is a pretty commonly used typeface.
