An irritating clue in this one, as it was one of me early entries

Look at timekeeper (5)

The more correct and obvious answer turned out to be wrong!

I know that for years we have only been giving clues, not actual answers. Although I said I hadn't got a clue, I was thinking along those lines you gave. What is the reference to Swift's? A bird, Jonathan or some other Swift?

Many thanks!

I'm familiar with the use of a name in an anagram or similar clue, but fell into the trap of thinking of a name because it started with a capital letter and then had 's

Like you I needed to change my answer from "w" to "c"
