I can see cargo but can someone please explain cult?

cargo cult is a religion in S Pacific Islands

Cargo cult was a sort of "religion" in some Pacific Islands. During the war, planes flew in lots of "cargo". When this ended after the war, some people attempted to build airstrips to tempt the planes back.
