Tony - apologies for late thank you - had to go out - much appreciated. Will try a few more clues now!

I've finished this but have questions about two clues. 1A: Early Stones- such as could make a man of Jon? 32A: Judge, old or lacking in a witty riposte. I don't get the significance of Jon or riposte, though I know what the answers have to be. And what's with the (12) and (8) letter counts for 13A and 32A respectively? They're in both versions of the crossword.

As for 1a 'such as' in the centre of the solution is obvious and I know that Jon Snow (JS) from Channel 4 spells his name Jon.

Very wishy washy answer, but it's all I've got at present!
