This is a really great puzzle with a fantastic theme. That said, even though I've got the 19 cells, I'm having a devil of a time trying to work out which are the seven I'm supposed to black out.

Brendan, I agree that this was a very good puzzle. Hardly an original theme, but cleverly done.

Does the entry in the bottom row ring a bell in relation to a famous cover? I think we have to reproduce the pattern here.

Yeah, I saw the pattern required literally seconds after I posted the query - I felt such an eejit - I wish this site hade a delete button 🤪

I've just realised that the order the names appear in the grid, reading left to right, is exactly the same as the order they are on the cover - what a classy finishing touch 😀

Yes and the number of blackouts was right too. You always get these lovely touches with Gaston.
