Once I understood the instructions properly, this was good fun.

I take issue with the classification of 16 ac. Not when I did botany.

I liked e and g when I got them. Favourite clue 15 ac (no comments, please!)

Still haven't got 48 ac Be quiet during exceptional matinee of Rope
I have ?AENS??ET but not sure these can all be right

Your E is wrong. With your background you'll get the answer then; it's nautical.
I too took issue with 16a.

Thank you, aristo, you're right, with that big hint I got there. Don't see the definition, but resumably that's just ignorance.
All finished now.

Thanks syzygy & sunray, I've only just got round to this. Pretty straightforward (just as well with my limited cerebral capacity after an "old firm" weekend) with the minor quibble I see already mentioned.
