The "Presidential vehicle appearing in The Chase" has yet to pass before my puzzled eyes!

'The Beast' is the name of the US Presidential State Car (and arguably the name of Mr. Trump too) and is also the nickname of Mark Labbett, a participant in 'The Chase' TV Quiz show. I had no idea about the latter and had to look it up.

The Beast was my best guess. The extra two meanings of the phrase were beyond my ken. Many thanks for evaporating my cloud of unknowing.

I have all save 27d: Old instrument originally kept by organ player of yesteryear (7). I have P?IV?ER - and can make no sense of anything!! Maybe there are errors? Any ideas welcome!!!
