Ok folks as you are already aware we have a clear winner!
In bronze position with one vote apiece, we have;
Dorrien 9, Faiton 14, Paul 31 and 17, Buddy 21 and 7.
In silver on 2 votes each we have ;
SW18, Paul 19, and Marty 29
However steaming ahead on 4 votes is Aristo 13 with his superlative;

“Repair has too many staples”

Would have got my vote too!

Your prize is a meditation on some stunning Scottish landscapes:

Well done again!

Congratulations, Aristo. It's always good to pick a winner! Cheers, Paul, for hosting and for the clip. (I haven't watched it all yet).That's probably all anyone is going to see of Scotland in the near future if Wee Jimmy Krankie, our First Minister, has her way. Even if you do get in, you won't be allowed a dram of our national drink. That's enough of a rant.....

Many thanks to Faiton and Aristo for the votes, and to Ginge and FJ for the mentions. Much appreciated.

Thanks Paul and congrats aristo.

I confess that the parsing is much too subtle for me - I ignored as it made no sense (apart from the definition). Could someone explain, please?

Chris, I believe it’s ‘repair’ = go and ‘has too many’ = od’s (overdoses)

Thanks for the votes, buddy, spike, fj and bigbad. Wish you'd all chosen the same one! I'd have lost the tiebreak anyway, though.

Good comp., Paul, thanks for hosting.

Faiton @27, I was going to try 'gourd', though it was to be hollow rather than empty. The contents were going to be eggs not ducks. Perhaps not such a gourd idea after all.

Congrats Aristo. I really liked repair and the overall misdirections in the clue.
Thanks Tyke for the vote and Fj for the mention - much appreciated.

Thanks Paul for the challenge
