I made life difficult for myself by thinking that 'turned upside down' meant 'flipped' rather than the usual 'rotated by 180 degrees' Still, an engrossing puzzle.

Can some kind soul give me the first letter for
- Those at rear in company do much to call for more effort

Also, I have the answer (grain crop) for - S. Asian tree obscuring sun for grain crop,
but can't see the original 'tree', if it is that. Should it include an S for sun, or something else?

I just found the tree, so obvious I missed it.
