Welcome to our weekend competition to compose a cryptic clue, to be judged by your fellow contestants.

You may enter as many clues as you like and everyone is welcome, particularly new entrants.
Feel free to explain your clue, if you think it will help, or to ask another poster to parse a clue.

Clues should be posted by 12 noon (UK time) on Sunday September 27th when voting opens.
Voting closes at 8 p.m. (UK time) the same day.

Entrants should vote for their favourite clue by indicating both the entrant's name and post number.
The entry with the most votes wins and its composer sets next week's competition.

The setter has the deciding vote in the event of a tie.
He or she will declare the winner and award an online prize.

The winner may change the rules or experiment with an alternative format for the following week.

This weekend's challenge is

BUBBLE (6)

Have Fun!
