Cannot get this one having tried for two weeks a hint please . To end on a sooty theme unfortunately but she did get a raise

It is much easier to work out the anagram if you begin with the correct words; "a sorry theme"...and she did get raised, eventually.

Sorry RingoDave I realised I had made a spelling mistake soon after I had sent it no real excuses but I had a stroke and have difficulty using my hands.
