Thanks Brendan but still nothing useful. Please tell me which ones to enter (refer to the relevant cells if you like) and perhaps say what 'green' has to do with what I am looking for.

Hi James,

If you enter the themed words in 1a/1d, 10a/10d, 14a/14d, 5d/16a in to Google followed by the word "green" (part of the quotations title) you'll get it.

James, I've just put those same words in to Microsoft Edge, which uses "Bing" and nothing came up - so be sure and use Google.

OK, found it at last by a fluke. Thanks to all who tried to help!

Hi James, I'm stunned Bing doesn't show it, even with nearly all the themed words and the first word of the title - Google shows it with just a handful so I'd assumed, wrongly, that all search engines would - lesson learned.

Glad you got sorted James:-)

Gosh, I found that one a bit tough this week. Lovely puzzle, though, very clever and a huge "thank you" is due to Oxymoron for several happy hours of solving.

Delighted to say I've just completed. This would not have been possible without consulting this thread. The puzzle, which I started off thinking impossible, has given me deal of pleasure so thank you all. Please ignore the sour note earlier.

As it's Friday I can risk giving a little away as most will have completed or given up. As a young pup I was of a left-flipper persuasion and we used to sing "Red fly the banners oh!" I remember: seven for the Tolpuddle Martyrs amongst other lines.

Do please keep contributing.

Williamseal, glad you got the puzzle finished. It's always good when an impossible-looking one proves solvable, eventually!

I think you should knuckle down to this week's Listener...

Thanks Malone

I will certainly try, but alas my species does not run to knuckles

Best wishes and thanks again
