Thanks, StevieGee. I think the problem is fitting the definition to the answer, entry. 'Prattling' is good for 'speaking', but the 'Labour leader being into hunting out pests' gives only 'ratt[l]ing', and there's no indication of how to drop the P. It all seems quite muddled!
