Emma was published in 1815 and the river could be the Nile but I've never heard of an Emmalina!

I thought of Emmeline as in Pankhurst but a quick Google of Emmelina didn't give much apart from a moth!

Totally agree Malone.

Here, it was ranked 1540 in Scotland during 2012. Maybe it's a Celtic Name (the Phoenix is Irish, I believe)
