Weekend Peer Review 39

Welcome to our weekend competition to compose a cryptic clue, to be judged by your fellow contestants.

You may enter as many clues as you like and everyone is welcome, particularly new entrants.
Feel free to explain your clue, if you think it will help, or to ask another poster to parse a clue.

Clues should be posted by 12 noon (UK time) on Sunday August 2nd when voting opens.
Voting closes at 9pm (UK time) the same day.

Entrants should vote for their favourite clue by indicating both the entrant`s name and post number.
The entry with the most votes wins and its composer sets next week's competition.

The setter has the deciding vote in the event of a tie.
He or she will declare the winner and award an online prize.

The winner may change the rules or experiment with an alternative format for the following week.

This week's challenge is;

PERIODIC TABLE (8,5)
or
THE PERIODIC TABLE (3,8,5)

Have fun!

Hi! He likes being boring. Candid nudity offends Neil. Naughty Maggie sips poor Stevens clammy armpits. Kevin carried Scarface Tinkerbelle, via Croydon Manor, feeling Colins nice cuddly zinc. (3, 8,5)

(Not really an entry, just trying to impress Chris (an Ex- Chemistry teacher) with the mnemonic I came up with for “O” Level Chemistry in five minutes, and can still remember to this day!)
