Few posts on this one so far. I'm making good progress with the clues but the theme eludes me - should I be looking for female broadcasters? Or perhaps putting my thinking cap back on.

Well not what you'd call "broadcasters" as such, truron, but they have all been on the air - fairly recently.

Yes, Cocobunny, it was a 12-part BBC One tv series which went all the way from idea to transmission during the Covid lockdown, ending its run on 9 July, although much of the series was re-working material which first appeared in 1988 and 1998.
