1. Dusty, Springfield, was she a global star? It's the first letters of (starting) Down Under She Took Years.

"Yards" is correct, Malone.
"Saturday" minus Greek letter "tau", anagrammed, gives "Yards".

Thanks, Rusty. I didn't give the parsing of that one much thought - I think I was wondering if the 'Dusty' clue was fair!
