Beware! Electronic logic gates have arrived.
Clue: Fix a sort of gate outside church (6)
Had to be ANCHOR but I couldn't understand the gate bit and was going to ask here. Then checked NOR on Google. Found a whole family of 'electronic logic gates' (NOR, NAND etc.). Never heard of them nor seen them used in the Times before. Has anyone else come across them in crosswords?

Yes, I've seen the logic gate thing a few times, especially in The Times - caught me out the first time but, ....once bitten....!

They don't have to be electronic, paul, though i agree that the vast majority are!
