Thank you chrise for the hints at 12. They allowed me to parse 25A and also to get 24A as my LOI. Your criticism of 25A is one I have raised in the past. If wordplay is not designed to lead to the solution the cryptic puzzle turns into just a difficult quick one.

I think the Roman numeral for 100 is increased ten fold to the Roman numeral for 1000. Hence the word for visual becomes the word for best part. Now I get it!
