1 ac Is the answer in singular or plural form? The wordplay (anagram) suggests a plural ending in 'i' rather than a singular ending in 'o'. Is the plural form therefore the correct entry?
A relatively gentle experience after the Listener and Inquisitor. As ever though, one fly in the ointment. 17a 'Hear this for anguish, Charley' (5). There's only one answer that fits really (it's unlikely to be a hunting dog!). Where's the definition? A homophone of catch - as in hear? I can construct my answer from the clue but just can't see a proper definition.
@JackNatter - Doh! I looked up Charley as well and completely failed to relate it to the other option I summarily dismissed. Good job I don't submit them. I think I'd probably have one wrong every time!
Hi, there's just 1d that I am stuck on. No words seem to fit assuming I have the other 4 letters correct which I think I do. Any help will be much appreciated!
