I've seen this given as Bul(k) (lar)ge, using the outside letters of the phrase.

I stuck the answer in the other day, with no idea of any parsing. I don't think it's a particularly good clue, so distanced myself from the parsing when I answered you!

There is almost the exact reverse of the Ninja clue in today's Listener.

Hall, student's residence. Hull was the port, put A for area instead of U for university.
