Presumably LUTE but how does it parse?

Lute sounds like (from mouth) Loot, hot stuff, stolen goods.

I am not in the least surprised by your comment. This is yet another clue where, to my way of speaking, lute and loot are not homonymic. Not quite so egregious as flaw and floor a couple of weeks ago but along the same lines.
