Can anyone help parsing 40d? Pub rogue beginning to open up a shade.
The answer is OLIVE DRAB but can you tell me why?

Despard, although I got the answer quickly enough, I think it's a very odd word/phrase. I've heard of 'ankle socks', that seems fairly common - but I've never once heard anyone say they were going to buy 'knee socks'.
