I really struggled with ST 4904 this week and have only just finished.
Some I just guessed and eventually worked out how they were constructed, but 'Not playing well after scoring' answer 'scratchy' I just can't see.
Any help from your fine minds would be appreciated.

I think it's a just a sort of cryptic definition, as in...

A record (vinyl album or single). for example, wouldn't play well after it's been scored/scratchy.

I think you`re right Brendan, also, if a golfer has a `scratchy` round or a cricketer a `scratchy` innings they`ve not played well.
