Tough challenge which I think is reflected in some inventive and clever wordplay not quite coming together with definition(s) smoothly surface wise. The light switches although good spots I feel need an indicator of optional. I liked chrise's hidden and apologies if there's something akin to an online game with that title but I have heard of "zone of fire" as a phrase and that would have tipped the balance. I really liked fiery's "original score" => 19 but slight preference and my vote for mattrom @ 36 even if a different synonym might read better.

I'm sure I typed options rather than optional!
