Congratulations, malcolmx, and thanks, mattrom.
Am I the only one here who doesn't drink? I'm certainly going stir-crazy though.

Well done Malcolm and thanks for the vote.
Good job Mattrom
Thanks for the Like Chrise and I appreciate the feeling of being unappreciated. I think we should all do more "Likes".

Dorrien you make an interesting point about the nice feeling you get with a like.

My worry is that if everyone is making likes and your clue gets no likes at all it could make you feel quite low or disheartened.

So I prefer to just name my winner and let everyone think I possibly liked their clues, which is most often true!

Obviously different for Clueless, if one's judging.

I cetainly like a glass of about 5 pm, aristo! Usually Pinot Grigio, a good one, and just one unless very stir-crazy, in that case another half. They are small glasses, Edinburgh Crystal, which adds to the occasion. Something to look forward to during the day.

I don't want to even imagine a world without wine ! At one time there was even a vineyard in my back garden, but it only ever produced grapes once and now grows asparagus (don't mention to malone) plums, strawberries and other good things.

There are many good reasons for drinking
And one has just entered my head
If you can't take a drink when you're living
How the hell can you dink when you're dead

I have always believed the above 'verse' to be a composition by an anonymous Australian toper . . and an important thread in the rich tapestry of Australian literature

And . .

If you can prove otherwise . . I don't want to know about it

That reminds me of the most famous Australian poem, hannah!

This here is the wattle
The emblem of our land
You can stick it in a bottle
You can hold it in your hand

I cannot agree Chrise . .

It may well be 'up there' . . but "Me and Me Dog" gets my nod

"Me and me dog
Don't care whether it's hot

Me and me dog
Don't care, whether it rains or not"

Australia's finest, and one of the many from the pen of well known poet A. Non
